I'm a fan. I watched, owned and enjoyed all three movies. Though to be perfectly honest I think the first one is the greatest of them all. The sequels have a little bit too much going on and it seems everybody and their momma is a pirate.
And don't get me started on the never ending plot lines.
I can still enjoy all three for the entertainment value alone and will most likely see the 4th one.
Your thoughts?

I remember seeing the first one at the movies with my grandma and brother It was sweet. Plus, Pirates of the Caribbean has always.. always... been my favorite ride at Disneyland. The second one was alright. I haven't seen the third one though. Bad Daisy.. bad!

I absolutely loved the first one and the second one was pretty awesome as well. They are like comfort movies now. Better than Ben and Jerries when you are feeling down.

Eh. I have always found them to be quite overrated. The 1st was enjoyable, the 2nd okay but too samey and the third... just no. Overall, a decent trilogy but nothing ground-breaking.

I agree, even though I'm a fan of them. I think it mainly has to do with Johnny Depp's performance as Captain Jack Sparrow. If it wasn't for him I don't think any of these movies would have been as successful as they were.
