Have you read them?
I didn't get very far into the Lord of the Ring Series. Not far at all. I tried reading The Fellowship of the Ring but I only made it through the first chapter before getting bored.
Yourself?

I read all three. They're not all they're cracked up to be IMO.

I remember hearing that the books were written for kids, so that could contribute to why they aren't all that great to us.
I think the movies greatly improved upon the books myself.

I haven't seen the movies. They showed one in school once but all of us just talked to our friends instead of paying attention to it.

Could this be one of the rare times where the movies are actually better than the books?

That's what I've heard from pretty much everyone.
