Welcome to Randomness 24/7!
We here at Randomness 24/7 are dedicated to making sure your time is an enjoyable one and in order to do that we have a few ground rules we’d like you to read. But first please take the time to review the ProBoards Term of Service as that is something we all agree to upon joining after clicking on "I agree" and are therefore bounded by it.
Now for my rules.
1.) Respect one another
I know not everybody will get along and you don't have to like each other, but I do expect you to respect each other while posting. Respect does not mean to like so it isn't hard. All personal matters should be discussed in private and not be dragged out on the forum itself.
2.) No Spam
Repeated posting of links or something that doesn't really contributes to an on-going discussion is not allowed. Do not think that "Randomness" means you can spam. "Randomness" means you can discuss anything but once a discussion thread is made it should be stuck with unless the creator of the thread thinks otherwise.
3.) Do not feed the Trolls
Trolls post things only to get a reaction out of people, do not give it to them. Do you know what I find goes good with Trolls? Banning them. If you suspect somebody to be a Troll please PM me and I'll investigate the matter. If I believe somebody is only here to cause trouble then they're gone.
4.) Keep images and sig sizes reasonable
Signature sizes should be no bigger than 500x225 and images in general 500x600. Images that break these limits will be changed to a direct link. I'm not strict if it only breaks that limit a little bit but if it's very noticeable they will be dealt with. This is in respect to those with smaller monitors. Please be considerate of others when posting images.
5.) Keep swearing to a minimal
Swear on occasion and in general is fine. Swearing all the time is not acceptable and neither is swearing at other members in an insulting matter, see rule one on respect, and in either cases you will be hearing from me.
6.) Do not bump old threads
If a thread haven't been replied to in 30 days chances are there is no more interest in that topic so please do not bump it. If you really want to discuss that particular topic you're better off making a new thread about it.
7.) Post in the right boards
For example a thread about films should go in the "Film and Television" board.
If you decide to break my rules then the following warning and punishments may be issued.
1.) A verbal warning
Either I'll quote the post that violates the rules with a verbal warning or PM you about it.
2.) A written warning
I'll write the warning in your custom title along with the reason and an expiration date. Expiration date depends on the offense, and you.
3.) Disabled Account
I'll disable your account for a number of days. Just like the expiration date on warnings the number of days vary on the offense.
4.) Banned Accounts
I'll ban your account via IP, Email and Username for a number of days, which once again, varies on the offense.
5. Banned for life
You will be banned. No expiration date. Ever.
As owner I withhold the right given to me by ProBoards to ban anybody I wish for whatever reason I wish as long as I don't violate the TOS by doing so. Rest assure that I do not ban without just cause.
Thank you for taking the time to read these rules.
